Domain Name Policy & Guidelines
New Domain Registrations
Upon ordering a web hosting account with Webgold Hosting, you may choose to have us register your domain name for you or you may register it yourself using any domain registry service. The fee for having Webgold Hosting register and manage your domain name for you is $20.00/year for .com, .net and .org extensions. Once your account has been verified, please allow 24-48 hours for the registration process of new domain names. You are responsible for checking the availability of your domain name and we provide a domain name search/whois lookup tool on our website and order form for your convenience. All new Domain Name Registrations and renewals are non refundable due to Registry rules.
Domain Name Renewals
It is the customer's responsibility to keep their domain name contact information updated. If your email address changes, you MUST request that your domain name contact information be updated so that the registry can send reminders regarding your domain name. If you do not keep your domain name's registration current, then the domain registration will expire and the domain would then become available for others to register. The Registration Company sends out several reminder notices prior to the domain name's expiration date which allows adequate time for each customer to renew their domain name. You may renew a domain by sending a support request to support@webgoldhosting.com. Please include your domain name, the number of years you wish to renew it for as well as your hosting account username and password. Renewal fees will be debited to your hosting account. If you no longer have a hosting account with Webgold Hosting, you will need to provide payment prior to requesting a renewal. We accept VISA, MasterCard, Discover, American Express, Diner’s Club, JCB, all VISA and MasterCard-sponsored debit cards, Cash and Cheques.
Domain Name Transfers
If you have previously registered a domain name with another company and wish to transfer the domain registration to our Registration Company (Bulk Register) and have Webgold Hosting manage your domain name for you, visit our Domain Name Center and fill out the transfer form. All transfers are automatically renewed for one additional year at no additional cost. The transfer fee is $20.00.
Nameserver Changes
If you have previously registered a domain name and wish to host it on our servers you will need to modify the nameservers for your domain name. If you need any assistance please contact support@webgoldhosting.com.
